I watched it many times as a kid and would still watch it now. This movie is emotional, intense, and heartfelt. While it is very stereotypical, they at least get a peak into what another culture might look like. Spirit was trying to lose the soldiers by running through meadows and huge canyons, and when he thought he did, one of them surprised him and lassoed him. Where did the soldiers capture Spirit Answer: in a canyon. Children also get a brief history lesson on the American Indian (Native American) War. He ended up breaking the icicle off from where it hung and went on his way. Those who appreciate music can agree that regardless of Bryan, you can’t deny that Hans Zimmer did an amazing job with the musical choreography that makes this story come alive. I think some people just don’t like Bryan Adams. This movie is a classic and not to mention the soundtrack is amazing.

If you want to watch a dull movie with a predictable plot just go watch the Lego movie or something. This movie is heart wrenching and for some reason people don’t like that. The simple narration is because it is in fact a children’s movie people.

The fourth time, Murphy was putting a shoe on. The third time, Murphy gets kicked on the bottom when cleaning out Spirit's hoof. The second time, Spirit crushes Murphy's hand between his body and the railing while the blacksmith was cutting the mane off. Although there is little dialogue, you get a break from the annoyingly scripted, cheesy, movies and you get to watch for yourself this story and journey unfold. The first time, Spirit bites him because Murphy was trying to cut the mane off. I don’t understand why some people are hating on this movie.
